Jamie Lee Curtis has just been confirmed to return to the Halloween series but not as a different character. She will be returning as Laurie Strode.
This all but confirms that they will be ignoring Halloween: Resurrection and most likely ignoring everything after Halloween 2, which is a shame as H20 had the perfect ending in my opinion. So what does this mean for the new movie? Well, it seems it will be set in modern day and not the reported 1980s or even directly after Halloween 2 as once rumoured. Information is scarce at the moment but it is still set for an October 2018 release.
