Richard Schiff as Dr Loomis in Halloween (2018) Reboot?

Casting is in full flow for the upcoming Halloween reboot/sequel/remake/reimagining/etc/etc. The only confirmed name at the moment is Jamie Lee Curtis. Judy Greer is heavily rumoured to be playing Karen Strode, Laurie's daughter.

Green and McBride clearly certainly aren't playing around with the casting so far with the talent so far, I would like to point out another amazing and versatile actor who should/could come into the fold. Richard Schiff as Dr Loomis. No plot details have emerged just yet surrounding what year this movie will be set. If the movie is set in 2018, Loomis would most likely be dead, or very close to 100, but this would also make Myers 61 years old. So the chances of the movie being set only in 2018 are very slim.

If Dr Loomis does make an appearance in the movie, I see no other actor more fitting for the role. I pushed for Schiff to be the next Loomis when the remake was announced over 10 years ago. Luckily he wasn't cast in the hillbilly remake. Schiff has a lot of high profile acting credits and rightly so. He is an outstanding actor who I see as a perfect replacement for the equally outstanding Donald Pleasence.
